Albert C. Littler
Albert C. Littler, 81, Hibbing, died Wed., March 26, 2014 in the Heritage Manor Health Care Center, Chisholm. He was born May 15, 1932 in Walworth County, WI. He moved to Nashwauk, MN as a young boy and graduated from Nashwauk High School. Albert began working for the MA Hanna Mining Co right after high school. He married Carol Wodahl in December of 1952 and then shortly after that he served in the Army during the Korean War. He returned to Hibbing where he completed his career as a diesel mechanic for MA Hanna and later, National Steel. Albert was a dedicated family man who loved spending time with his family especially taking family trips by car out west. He was an active member of the Assemblies of God Church, now known as the Abundant Life Church.
He is survived by his wife Carol, his children Janet (John) Baker of Romulus, MI, Beth Phillips of Tiffin, OH and David Littler of Duluth, MN, a brother Darrell (Sandra) Littler of Belton, MO, 3 grandchildren Rachel, Paul and Sarah Phillips and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother H. Glen Littler, his sisters Irene Braford and Helen Budge and a granddaughter Jillian Baker.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, in the Abundant Life Church, Hibbing. The Rev. David Oler will officiate. Visitation will be in the Dougherty Funeral Home,Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. and also in the church, Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time in the church. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.
