Albert F. Natt
Albert F. Natt, 74, died Thursday; Aug. 1, 2013 in the Hummingbird Customized Living home in Meadowlands, MN. He was born July 25, 1939 in Sweet Valley, PA the son of Joseph and Matilda Natt. His family moved to Michigan in 1951 where he graduated from the River Rouge, MI high school in 1958. He married the love of his life Arlette Perala on Oct. 29, 1960 in River Rouge. Albert worked at the Lego Co. in Ecorse, MI and had a variety of other jobs in Michigan before moving to Toivola, MN in the early 60’s. Here he helped farm Arlette’s family farm, he did some logging and worked at Schneidermans Furniture until he got his job at Erie Mining Co. in 1967. He worked there until he retired in 1997 after 30 years and 3 months services.
Albert and Arlette lived in Aurora, MN for the first 10 years he worked at Erie and would spend their long weekends at the farm in Toivola. The farm was eventually remodeled and they lived there full time and Al made the long trip to Hoyt Lakes every day. He would never miss work.
He is survived by brothers Chester (Rosemary) Natt of Riverview, MI, and Leo (Karen) Natt of Jamestown, TN, a sister Irene Gegich of Ecorse, MI and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Arlette, his parents, two brothers, Joseph and Victor. His dogs King, Shadow, Brandy and Sandy who he loved to take for walks and car rides.
The family would like to express our great appreciation to everyone at the Hummingbird Customized Living. You all made his last 4 months the best. We would also like to thank Albert’s homecare givers Tammy and Bob and the Essentia Health East range Hospice and Staff. Thank you all very much, you did great.
Funeral services will be held in the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Toivola Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Range Regional Animal Shelter of Hibbing
