            Alice Rae Nyberg, 62, Hibbing died December 28, 2023 at St. Mary’s-Essentia Hospital in Duluth, MN.  Alice was born July 3, 1961 in Hibbing to Albert “Berger” and Edna (Allison) Nyberg.  She was their third and youngest child.  Alice grew up in Kerr Location where she had a happy childhood.  She spent a lot of time watching her dad and brothers coach and play ball, and she enjoyed annual family summer fishing trips.  Alice graduated from Hibbing High School in 1979.  She attended college at St. Cloud State University and then moved to the Twin Cities where she lived and worked for many years.  She moved back to Hibbing in 2012.  She enjoyed her participation on the board at Access North.  Alice was a dedicated Minnesota Sports fan and rarely missed a Twins, Vikings, Wild, or Gopher game.  She had a wide circle of friends whom she had many fun times with over the years, and she dearly loved her dog, “Shooter”.

            She is survived by her brothers, Bob (Kathy) Nyberg, Side Lake, MN, and Bill (Theresa) Nyberg of Oakdale, MN, nieces and nephew Nicole (Matt) Anderson, Melissa (Matt) Erickson, Christine (Alex) Gornick, all of Hibbing, Michelle Nyberg of Milltown, WI, and Bryan Nyberg of St. Paul, MN, 10 great nieces and nephews, several cousins, and many close friends.

            Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Albert (1982) and Edna (2004) Nyberg.

            Funeral services for Alice will be 12:00 pm, Friday, January 5, 2024 at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.  Steve Tomberlin will officiate.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the noon memorial service at the funeral home on Friday.  A light lunch will follow at the funeral home reception area.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
