Ann Frances Maki

Ann Frances Maki, 92, Hibbing, died Thursday, September 10, 2015, at Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing.  She was born Sept. 8, 1923, to Dominic and Marcella (Sterni) Bonazza.  Ann graduated from Hibbing High School and was united in marriage to Robert Maki.   She was a homemaker, wife, and wonderful mother.  Ann was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church and later Blessed Sacrament Church, the Befrienders Prayer Group, the Carmelites, and a volunteer at Pregnancy Life Care Center.

She is survived by three daughters, Roberta (Charles) Miller of Hibbing, Christine (David) Tomassini of Side Lake, and Jayne (James) Gandsey of Hibbing; four sons:  Jon (Kathy) Maki of Bagley, MN, Gerald Maki of Hibbing, Thomas (Elizabeth) Maki of Duluth, and Stephen Maki of Duluth; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; by an infant son, Richard Dennis Maki; by her parents; by brothers Frank Bonazza, Joe Bonazza, Ben Bonazza, and her twin, John Bonazza; and by sisters Mary Paolo and an infant, Margaret Bonazza.

Visitation will be Monday Sept. 14, 2015, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.  To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.doughertyofhibbing.com .
