Anna M. Benolken
Anna M. Benolken, 75, Nashwauk, MN, died Thursday; August 13, 2015 in her home. She was born Sept. 7, 1939 in Grand Rapids, MN to Floyd and Ida Covier. She had attended Nashwauk High School and had lived in Milaca, MN for many years before returning to Nashwauk where she worked as a cook in various restaurants. She was the treasurer of the Dark Star Wildlife Center near Pengilly, and was a member of the Range Riders ATV Club. She loved taking care of her family by cooking, gardening and doing everything else that a good home needs.
She is survived by her husband Max Benolken Sr, her children Max (Marsha) Benolken Jr. of Nashwauk, Lorraine (Steve) Hassel of Deer River, MN, Jody (Doran Peterson) Benolken of Pengilly, MN and Darcey (Dean) Stewart of Foley, MN, a sister Gloria Jean (Robert) Koivisto of Aurora, MN, brother, Patric (Betty Rutherford) Covier of Nashwauk, 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing, with visitation starting at 10 am. Burial will be in the Nashwauk Cemetery
