Anna M. (Hummel) Parvi

Anna M. (Hummel) Parvi, 60, Nashwauk, MN, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015 in Hibbing, MN.  She was born Feb. 2, 1955 in Hibbing to Ira and Gladys Hummel.  Anna was a lifelong resident of Nashwauk who belonged to the Cloverdale Mennonite Church.  She was active in its’ sewing group and was also the prayer breakfast leader.  Having the gift of hospitality, Anna enjoyed cooking for others.  She loved playing cards and games, especially with her grandsons and she also looked forward to her weekly trips to one of the local casinos.

She is survived by her daughters: Elizabeth (Jeremy) Harshbarger of Bridger, MT and Virginia (Brian Kingsley) Hummel-Newman of Nashwauk. 2 grandchildren Skylar Olson and Eathan Newman, 3 brothers Ralph (Gloria) Elj of Litchfield, MN, Allen Hummel and Ernest (Kathy) Hummel both of Nashwauk along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Parvi, her parents, a brother Earl Hummel and a sister Charlene Hummel.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016 at the Nashwauk Alliance Church.  The Pastor Jack Tillotson will officiate.  Visitation will be at the Dougherty Funeral Home, Friday Jan. 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. and will continue in the church on Saturday from 10 a.m., until service time.  Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.
