Anne M. Kochar

Anne M. Kochar, 94, lifelong resident of Kelly Lake died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.  She was born on The 4 ^th of July to John and Anne (Mihelich) Stimac in Carson Lake Township.  She was a graduate of Hibbing High School in 1940. She entered the Sacrament of Marriage with Paul A. Kochar on June 3, 1950.  She was employed as a cashier for the National Food Store, and MN Markets.Ann was later was employed as a housekeeper for Golden Crest Nursing Home in Hibbing.  She was an active member with St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Kelly Lake with various activities and with the church's auxiliary, and most recently with Blessed Sacrament Catholic Parish.   At St. Anne’s Anne participated in their bazaar, coffee socials, and funeral lunches.  Her favorite pastimes included gardening, cooking, canning, knitting, and crocheting.

She is survived by her children, Carol (Richard) Johnson, and John (Wendy) Kochar, both of Centennial, CO, brother, Joe (Adeline) Stimac, Milwaukee, WI, five grandchildren, Kristen (Todd) Krapf, Lakewood, CO, Paul (Kristina) Johnson, Seattle, WA, Jeffrey Johnson, Lakewood, CO, Matthew Kochar, Denver, CO, and Joseph Kochar, Denver, CO, one great-grandson, Tristan Kraph, special niece, Bev (Mike) Siekkinen, Kelly Lake, her sister-in-laws, Rose O’Donnell, Chicago, IL, and Frances Anderson, Bemidji, MN, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul A. Kochar in 1977, and three brothers, Matt, Frank, and Ivan Stimac.

Funeral services for Anne will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. Fr. Nick Nelson will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Thursday.  Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the donor’s choice.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home.
