Anthony "Tony" T. Pingatore

Tony passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, at Guardian Angels Nursing Home. Tony was born to Anthony “Tony” and June Pingatore in Hibbing, Minnesota, on January 27, 1950. Tony was a very friendly guy, with a great sense of humor and a love for life. His favorite pastimes included bowling, softball, and rock hunting, as he would spend time at his aunt's house in Montana searching for agates that he would bring home to cut and polish. Tony enlisted in the Army in 1970 and later received a general discharge. Tony worked for Butler Taconite and then took over Range Septic and Sewer from his father. 

He is survived by his sister, Bonnie (Robert Shepard) Fena, his niece Nikki Fena, great nephew, Luke (Breanna Misale) Fena, his aunt, Ardyce Jaffe and many cousins. Tony also had stepdaughters, Kari (Fabian) Manderson and Gaylene Bird and 5 step-grandchildren.

Tony was preceded in death by his wife Karen, his father Anthony, his mother June and his nephew, Thomas Fena. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Guardian Angels Nursing Home and the wonderful hospice staff for the care and comfort they have given Tony for over 13 years. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Hibbing Fairview Hospice or Guardian Angels Nursing Home. 

A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
