Ardell M. Bachman, 81, Cambridge, MN, formerly of Hibbing, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013 in Cambridge, MN. She was born Feb. 16, 1932 in Hillman, MN to Arthur and Elsie Hatch. She was a homemaker while moving to various towns on the Iron Range which included Ely, Makinen, Eveleth, Aurora, Marble and Hibbing. After her husband’s retirement, they lived in Milbank, SD for 14 years. Ardell lived in Cambridge after moving back to Minnesota for her last 13 years.
She is survived by four children; James D. (Jane) Bachman of Calumet, MN, William H. (Kathryn) Bachman of St. Cloud, MN, Doris (Arvid) Pajunen of Dewey Lake, MN, and Gail (Brian) Frider of Cambridge, MN, a sister; Sylvia Alshire of Little Falls, MN, brothers; Manfred (Martha) Hatch of Crystal, MN, Gerald (Jill) Hatch of Milaca, MN and Elmer (Ramona) Hatch of Onamia, MN, along with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Duane on July 16, 2000, a sister Janette Haverstock and brothers; Chester, Morris, Carl and Leon Hatch.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday Nov. 30 in the Dougherty Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. David N. Stevens will officiate. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 12 Noon until service time. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Rylan, Wyatt and Kylar Bachman, Brian Frider and Rodney and Gary Hatch. Honorary Pallbearers are: William and Robert Bachman.
