Arlette Lorraine Natt
Arlette L. Natt, 80, Toivola, died Sunday October 7, 2012, at home in Toivola. She was born at home on June 11, 1932, to Konstu and Feemia Perala. She graduated with Toivola High School’s last class before the merger with Meadowlands High School. She worked at Manufacturer’s National Bank in Detroit. Arlette was united in marriage to Albert Natt, the love of her life, on Oct. 29, 1960, in Michigan. They made their home in Toivola where they helped run the family dairy farm for many years. Arlette had many interests, including gardening, birding and music. She was an avid sports fan and loved to watch the Twins, Vikings, golf, and auto racing. Arlette was a woman of many talents who maintained the mechanical items around the farm. She could do it all, including fixing the furnace and snowmobile. Charles, Kevin, and Scott Young (nephews) and Ronell Keener (neice) spent numerous summers with Arlette and Albert and were very special to her as were all her nieces and nephews. She loved them all dearly.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Albert Natt of Toivola, MN; siblings Arlene Laine, Audrey (Jim) Gurd, Ervin (Mary) Perala, and Janet Young, brother-in-law Arvid Puttonen and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers (niece) Joann and Dennis Inkman, Tasha Marien, Jeanne Fairbanks, RN, Emile Thronson, and Dr. Amy Hilde—Phillips as well as her two special therapy dogs Rolly & Lucy.
Arlette was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents John and Maria Saralampi and Ivar and Leinu Jolonen; siblings Aune Sorvari, Alvin Sorvari, George Perala, Signe Kauppi, Edna Puttonen, Bruno Sorvari, and Elna Marek; and by her dogs: Sandy, Brandy, King, and Shadow
A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday November 10, 2012, in Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
