Audrey M. Prepodnik, 97, Hibbing, died surrounded by her family on Monday June 1, 2015, at Guardian Angels in Hibbing.  She was born in Bemidji, MN on July 3, 1917, to James and Gertrude (Auger) Pogue.  Audrey grew up in Penobscot Location near Hibbing and graduated from Hibbing High School where she was the choir’s accompanist.  She worked in payroll at Woolworth’s for many years and then as the bookkeeper at Erickson Music for over twenty years.  Audrey was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish and National Catholic Society of Foresters.  She was a talented musician who played organ and piano throughout her life.
She is survived by three children:  Jerry (Monica) Erickson, Hibbing, Jim (Chris) Prepodnik, Champlin, MN, and Sue (Mike) Nelson, Hibbing; a sister, Mary Agnes Pogue, Hibbing; nine grandchildren:  Sue (Duane) Gielen, Marcy (Wayne) Johnson, Alec Nelson, Tyler (Becky) Nelson, Dustin (Gretchen) Prepodnik, Jordan Prepodnik, Ryan Prepodnik, Joshua Hondlik, and Brent (Beth) Nelson; by 13 great-grandchildren; and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Audrey was preceded in death by husbands Gustie Erickson in 1949 and Victor Prepodnik in 1990; by her brother, George Pogue; and by her parents.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Hibbing, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.  To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.doughertyofhibbing.com.  Memorials may be made to Northstar Hospice.
