Ava Ranae Skalsky
An angel opened up the book of life to record the babie’s birth and whispered when she closed the book, “too beautiful for Earth,” Our precious baby girl was taken away too soon. She touched the hearts and lives of many. She will forever be in our hearts.
Ava R. Skalsky, six days old, died Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing. She was born on July 18, to Shilo Skalsky and Jordan Fowler in Hibbing.
She is survived by her parents, Shilo and Jordan, of Keewatin, her paternal grandpa, Pete (Marla) Skalsky, Hibbing, paternal grandmother, Tammy (Mike Carpenter) Johnson, Nashwauk, maternal grandfather, Tony (Naomi) DeNucci, Pengilly, Maternal grandmother, Billie (Josh Oliveira) Fowler, Keewatin, maternal grandparents, Sheldon(Jen Wantulok) Warmbold, Hibbing, great-grandparents, David (Crystal) Specht, Nashwauk, Donna Skalsky, Hibbing, Lavon (Brad) Adams, Keewatin, Jackie (Michael Chimento) DeNucci, Pengilly, and Denise (Steve) Mount, Nashwauk, MN, her Godmother, Haili Fowler and her Godfather, Derek Skalsky and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers; Vincent Skalsky, and Louie DeNucci, great-great grandma, Lorraine Buccanero, and her great-great grandparents, Raymond (Shirley) Specht, and John (Mary) Leonard.
Funeral services for Ava will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. The Rev. Rod Tuomi will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until the service time at the funeral home on Thursday. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
