Barbara Jean Crist, 75, lifelong resident of Hibbing, passed away Wednesday May 24, 2017 with family by her side. Barbara was born June 15, 1941 to Alfred and Donna (Isaacson) Erickson in Hibbing. Barbara was a member of the Northstar Church of Hibbing. She was employed with Sportsman’s Café for many years. Barbara loved to work puzzles. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed time camping and fishing during her early years. Most important to Barbara was her love of animals, especially her beloved dog Abby.
Barbara is survived by her sister Serene (Robert) Frisk of Hibbing; two nephews Jeffrey (Colleen) Lee of Keewatin, and Timothy (Marcia) Lee of Nashwauk; four great nieces and nephews: Shannon (Andrew Stanaway) Lee of Buhl, Shawn (Ashley Pelkey) Lee of Hibbing, Travis (Stephanie) Lee of Chisholm, Ryan (Mckenzie) Lee of Walla Walla, WA. and 8 great-great nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by both of her parents.
Funeral Services for Barbara will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday May 30, 2017 at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing, Pastor Chris Champion will officiate. Visitation will be held 11:00 am till 12:00 noon, prior to the funeral service at the Funeral home on Tuesday. A private family interment will be held at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing at a later date. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
