Barbara   Erickson

Barbara Erickson, Hibbing, died Saturday, May 28, 2016 in Hibbing.  She was born in Minneapolis to Henry and Effie Borman on October 10, 1924. She was a graduate of the University of Minnesota and had taught school in Minneapolis school district. She and Burdette were married in 1947 and moved to Hibbing in 1949.  Barbara was actively involved in many capacities at First Lutheran Church; was a chapter member of PEO, worked as volunteer for many years in the Gift Nook in Fairview Medical Center; enjoyed playing in several bridge clubs and of course visiting her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed her years at Reallife and her many friends there.

Barbara will be missed by her daughter Bonnie (Jim) Zierden, Hackensack, MN, son Steve (Jolene), Salt Lake City, UT, daughter Carrie (Jeff) Musgjerd, Rogers, MN, four grandchildren, Eric (Shenoa) Zierden, Christine (Adam) Barr, Beau Musgjerd, Juel Erickson, great grandbabies, Ella, Levi, and Nash Zierden, and Logan Barr. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Burdette, 2 sisters, and daughter Jill.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am. Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ben Schori officiating.  Visitation will be at church for one hour before the service.  Private burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Barbara requests donation be made to First Lutheran Church, Hibbing.  Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home.
