Barbara A. Myers, 84, longtime resident of Hibbing died of natural causes Thursday, October 24, 2013 at home.  She was born on January 15, 1929 to Robert and Marion (Norcross) Bergstrom in Spring Lake, MN.  She was retired from Hibbing Taconite where she was employed with operations.   She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, and her church ladies group.  Barbara was active in girl scouts with her children, she also taught Sunday school at the church.  One of Barbara’s favorite pastimes was her flowers and her yard.  She also loved crocheting, baking and cooking.
Barbara is survived by her children,  Patricia (Ray) Sauve, and Gary (Victoria) Myers, both of Hibbing, son-in-law, Terry Brink, Cloquet, MN.,  her three brothers, Robert (Colleen) Bergstrom, Loveland, CO., Russell (Susan) Bergstrom, Mesquite, NV., and Rodney (Carol) Bergstrom, Maplewood, MN., her sister, Holly (Edward) Pulju, Shoreview, MN., five grandchildren, Eric (Amy) George, Virginia, MN., Marcus (Jessica) Peterson, Minneapolis, MN., Jason (Robin) Peterson, Richfield, MN., Stephanie (Will) Senich, Hibbing, MN., and Cristina (Travis Griffiths) Myers, Balkan, MN., four great-grandchildren, Casey, Bailey, Jacob, and Kiran, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Myers in 1998, daughter, Charlotte Brink, 2006, her parents, Robert and Marion (Norcross) Bergstrom, and her sister, Jeanine Lind.
Funeral services for Barbara will be held at 11:00am, Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. Terry Tilton will officiate.  Visitation will be from 5-7pm, Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing, and will continue from 10:00am until the 11:00am funeral service at the church on Monday.  Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
