Bernardine C. Brown, 90, Keewatin, MN, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016 in her home.  She was born Dec. 13, 1925 in Hibbing to Joseph and Clara Frider.  Bernardine had worked at American Linen during World War II and then married Robert C. Brown on May 17, 1947 in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing.  They moved to Keewatin in 1949 where they raised their family and where Bernadine was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, serving on the funeral lunch crew and other activities of the church.

She is survived by her husband Robert C. Brown, sons: Bruce R. Brown of Nashwauk, MN and Roger J. Brown of Keewatin, grandchildren Heather Eide and Jacob (Delri) Brown, great grandchildren Seth, Jace, Lane, Emery and Ryland, brothers: Richard (Judy) Frider, Donald (Marge) Frider, Wally (Bonnie) Frider and Michael Frider, all of Hibbing, sisters: Bernice (Bernard) Hovet of Virginia, MN, June Marlow of Minneapolis, Eleanore Auger of Richfield, MN, Sharon Volker of Hill City, MN and Joanne Sample of Hibbing, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Francis Frider, Robert Frider, Clarence Frider and William Frider, a grand son-in-law Robert Eide and her great granddaughter Mystic Lynn Eide.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016 in St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, Nashwauk.  Visitation will be in the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.  Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.
