Bernice E. Williams, 88, Clear Lake, Britt, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at Ecumen Lakeshore in Duluth, MN.  She was born to Andrew and Agnes Halseth on November 6, 1926, and grew up in Mitchell Location.  On June 18, 1948, she was united in marriage to George M. Williams and they made their home in Hibbing before settling at Clear Lake in 1981.  Bernice enjoyed playing cards and was a longtime volunteer who gave of her time selflessly.  She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, the Buhl Senior Center, and TOPS group # 0762 of Hibbing.  Bernice was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed.  She will be especially remembered for her kind and loving nature, her spirit of giving, her love of the lake, and her delicious pasties.
She is survived by her children:  Paul (Paula) Williams of Blaine, Joan (Mike) Norton of Hibbing, Nancy (Dale) Davidson of Clear Lake, and Diane (Glenn) Melchert of Dewey Lake; grandchildren: Michael (fiancé Holly) Norton, Jessica (Nathanyal) Jacklitch, Matthew (fiancé Ashley) Marinaro, Dustin Davidson, Corissa Norton, Nathan Davidson, Michael Johnson, Eric Johnson, and Leah Johnson; by 13 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Doris Peterson of Fargo, ND; a brother-in-law, Ron Steinbrink of Hibbing; and several cousins, nieces, and  nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, George, on April 18, 1981; brothers & sisters-in-law Norman (Phyllis) Halseth, Lawrence (Carole) Halseth, Norma Steinbrink, and Ralph Peterson.
Funeral services for Bernice will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Hibbing.  The Rev.
