Betty Mae (Gilbo) Lindsay
Betty Mae (Gilbo) Lindsay, 77, of Hibbing, MN died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 24, 2016, at St. Michael’s in Virginia, MN. She was born October 3, 1938, in Hibbing, MN to William and Elsie Gilbo. She married Ralph Eugene Lindsay on July 23, 1958, and together they raised 5 children. Betty was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and worked as the kitchen coordinator for the Hibbing Catholic Community for 17 years. She loved her job and enjoyed working with all her friends. She was a very faithful servant and a member of the Blessed Sacrament prayer chain.
Betty’s life was dedicated to God and the family she so dearly loved. She enjoyed spending time with friends, her prayer group, baking, gardening, and family gatherings. She exceeded being a fantastic wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law, and friend. Betty had a wonderful sense of humor and always saw the good in everything and everyone.

Betty is survived by her beloved husband, Ralph Eugene Lindsay; a sister, Bonnie (Gordon) Rue; a brother, Claude Gilbo; children: Danny (Billie) Lindsay of Hibbing, MN, Linda (Randy) Burdick of Hibbing, MN, Lauri (Dave) Simons of Hibbing, MN, Diane (Mark) Pierskalla of Willmar, MN, and Debbie (Kevin) Kosel of Hibbing, MN; grandchildren: Doug (Tammi) Lindsay, Bryan Lindsay, Greg Lindsay, Bobbi (Bob) Suhonen, Brenna Erickson, Tara Erickson, Kevin (Jesica) Burdick, Stacy (Nick) Gregg, Michelle (Cooper) Jensen, Tammy Simons, Tiffany Simons, Joshua Pierskalla, Justin Pierskalla, Jonathan Pierskalla, and Jeremy Pierskalla; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elsie Gilbo; by brothers Vincent Gilbo, and William Gilbo, Jr.; and by sisters: Georgie (Gilbo) Frykman, Vi (Gilbo) Keith and Mel (Gilbo) Muhar.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 30 , 2016, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing with Rev. Nick Nelson celebrating.
