Bonnie Jo (Minerich) Young

Bonnie Jo Young, 59, Hibbing resident died Thursday September 6, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.  She was born to Joseph and Beverly (Lenka) Minerich on May 17, 1959 in Hibbing, MN and graduated with the Hibbing class of 1977.   Bonnie had a profound love of the Lord, was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church, and shared that love and light with everyone she met.  She loved her family immensely and always thought of others above herself. Bonnie was also very proud of being a Pancreatic Cancer survivor. She loved to eat crab legs at Red Lobster and enjoyed the outdoors camping and fishing. Her unmistakable laugh and smile was infectious and she will be deeply missed by many

She is survived by her husband Bill, children, Michael (Angie) Harvotich, Farmington, MN, and Rhiannon (Brad) Kruger, Lakeville, siblings, Dennis (Wanda) Minerich, Hibbing, Lorri (Thomas) Frankson, Hibbing, and Brian (Betsy) Minerich, Buck Lake, 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brother Lawrence Minerich and her parents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 12th at 11:00 am., in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Gabriel Waweru celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Tuesday in the Dougherty Funeral Home with recitation of the Rosary at 6:45 pm.  Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
