Boris Andrican, 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 22, 2023 after a short illness. He was born above the family bakery on January 8, 1932 in Kitzville MN, to George and Anna Andrican. He was the fourth of their five children. He attended local schools.
He had a love of cars, engines and all things mechanical. He served in the US Army with the 501st Transportation Company in Alaska.
In 1958, he married Caroline Dahl and together they would enjoy family, friends, and travel for almost the next 65 years.
Founder, together with his brother Mark, of Kitzville Body Shop, they would work together rebuilding and painting cars for folks across the Range until Mark's death in 2022. Mark's son Jim, Jim's son Michael, and nephew Todd Seppala continue working in the family business.
Boris and Caroline were season ticket holders of the Hibbing Bluejacket athletic program for sixty years; a fixture in his tow truck on Saturday nights and a member of the Hall of Fame at Hibbing Speedway, a regular at Bimbo's on Friday night, keeper of the hunting shack and a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife Caroline, sister-in-law Lois Andrican and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and by his brothers John, Eli and Mark and by his sister Mildred.
Visitation will be at 10:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church in Hibbing followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 1, 2023. A luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall. A private burial for family members will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with military honors.
