Bruce A. Quick

Bruce Alan Quick, 65, of Hibbing, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in his home.  Alan was born to Bruce Richard and Joanne (Olson) Quick on July 14, 1951 in Hibbing.  Known to his family and friends as Alan, he was an avid outdoorsman, loved to hunt, fish and enjoy the woods.  He was a bow and arrow sharp shooter and won many awards.  He loved photography and would capture the rare beauty of people and places in his photos. Alan worked for many years at a foundry in Hibbing and after early retirement worked from home as an auto mechanic and other odd jobs, meeting new people and making friends along the way.
Alan is proceeded in death by his mother Joanne (Olson) Quick, and survived by his father Bruce Richard and stepmother Lenore, of Hibbing; a brother George Sheldon (Patricia) Quick of Austin, TX., a sister Carol Jo Moralez (Quick) of San Diego; and a niece Ashlee, and his nephews Joel and Bryan.  Alan is also survived by: His Aunt Barbara (Quick) Hancock and family, his Aunt Doris (Olson) Graham and family.
Funeral service for Alan will be Tuesday May 23, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing, with visitation one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.  Interment will be at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
