Byron R. Bray, age 68, of Cherry, MN, made his way to a better place on February 9, 2019. Byron was an intelligent man who was a mechanic by trade. He was an artist known for his colorful abstract art, for which he won many blue ribbons at the local St. Louis County Fair. Byron enjoyed playing chess, painting, working on cars, watching auto racing and the Minnesota Twins. He also enjoyed the outdoors, feeding the crows and ravens; prepping firewood, mowing lawn, and snow blowing. He raced stock cars in California and cherished the time building and working on a racecar with his son. Byron was a gentle, colorful, happy man who lived his life vividly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Carolyn, and his sister Cindi. He is survived by his son Nathan (Colleen) Bray; his sister Suzanne (Don) Akerman; nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held for Byron this summer. More info to come.
