Byron Dana “Dan” Larson

Byron D. “Dan” Larson, 64, longtime resident of Hibbing has gone fishing with the Lord on Monday, May 21, 2018 from St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN.  He was born on July 21, 1953 to Byron W. and Olivia (Klinke) Larson in Crookston, MN.  Dan was employed with Larson Construction as a carpenter for many years.  His favorite pastime was undoubtedly fishing.  He also enjoyed playing pool and the game of cribbage. However, family and friends meant the world to him.  He will be greatly missed by his dear friends, Kent Nelson, and Kenny Lilienthal along with many other loving family and friends.

Dan is survived by the love of his life for the past 18 years, Kathy Niday, Hibbing, six brothers and sisters, Pody Schillo, Kingsville, MO, Carole (Richard) Howsen, Deer River, MN, Richard (Sandra) Larson, Hibbing, Michole (Mary Lou) Larson, Wahoo, NE, Timothy (Claudia) Larson, Virginia, MN, and Mary (Greg) Gargano, Hibbing, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Janet, parents, Byron and Olivia, sister, Rocky Sue, and his nephew/Godson, Nicholas Janesich.

A private graveside service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
