Camilla Rae Crea
Camilla R. Crea, 85, formerly of Nashwauk died Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Dassel Lakeside Nursing Home in Dassel, MN. She was born on November 2, 1930 to Guy and Pearl (Laughren) Mix in Duluth, MN. Throughout her lifetime she was a longtime resident of Nashwauk, MN, she then moved to Eau Claire for 14 years, and most recently lived in Dassel for the past year. She entered the Sacrament of Marriage with Raymond J. Crea Sr. on May 17, in Nashwauk. She held various secretarial positions early on in her career. She later was the owner and operator of Seams Sew Easy. She had stores located in Grand Rapids and Nashwauk where she put her excellent sewing and seamstress work to great use.
She is survived by her three children, Raymond (Sue) Crea Jr., Grand Rapids, MN, Michelle (Wendell) Harren, Oak Grove, MN, and Nancy Rickert, Hutchinson, MN, brother, Alan “Rusty” (Carol) Mix, Prior Lake, MN, seven grandchildren, Emily Crea, Abby Crea, Shawna Harren, Tyler Harren, and Anthony Harren, and Dustin Rettig, and Ashley Rettig, three great-grandchildren, Jace, Rettig, William Rettig, and Jaylon Sankey and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Crea Sr., parents, Guy and Pearl Mix, sister, Georgia Bakko, two brothers, Tom and Neal Mix, and her son-in-law, Dan Rickert.
Funeral services for Camilla will be held at 2:30pm, Friday, November 20, 2015 at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Nashwauk, MN. The Rev. Fr. Seth Gogolin will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral Mass at the church on Friday. Interment will be in Nashwauk Cemetery in Nashwauk, MN. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
