Carl J. Cardille Jr., 76, Rural Nashwauk died Sunday, May 26, 2013 at home.  He was born on July 24, 1936 to Carl and Eva (Seasock) Cardille Sr., in Cooley Location near Nashwauk, MN. He attended Nashwauk Schools and played football with the Nashwauk Colts.   Carl entered the Sacrament of Marriage with Nancy Pearson on August 28, 1958, at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Nashwauk.  Carl loved his family very much.  His wife, children and grandchildren were most important to him.  His family and his home were his proudest accomplishments.
He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 54 years, Nancy Cardille, Rural Nashwauk; his 6 children: Sheryl (Greg) Schraut and their children, Hillary and Evan, Champlin, MN, Suzanne Cardille and her daughter, Whitney (Adam) Wright, Hibbing, MN, Jeff (Shari) Cardille and their children, Quinn and Casey, Maple Grove, MN, Kevin (Deborah) Cardille and their children, John and Anna, Oronoco, MN, Daniel (Kristine) Cardille and their son, Zachary, Blaine, MN, and Kari (John) Olesiak and their children, Jay, Karina, and Kloe, Sawyer, MN, He is also survived by one great-grandchild that is on the way, which he was waiting for with much anticipation; two sisters, Ann (Ted) Thoren, Nashwauk, MN, Margaret (Bob) Branson, Fridley, MN, one brother, Jacob (Carol) Cardille, Nashwauk, MN, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Eva; and 4 siblings, Sam Cardille, Mary Bratt, Frank Cardille, and Caroline Cardille.
Funeral services for Carl will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, May 30, 2013 at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Nashwauk.  Visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Nashwauk with wake prayers at 7:30pm.  The visitation will then continue one hour prior to the funeral Mass at the church on Thursday.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.  Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
