Carl Reinhardt Uebel, 74, of Hibbing, MN, passed away on October 23, 2024. He was born to Everett Reinhardt Uebel and Ellen Margaret Javorina on September 30, 1950.
Growing up in Brooklyn, Carl raised his family in Hibbing. He had a fantastic sense of humor and loved 1950s nostalgia and old TV shows. He also had a great group of friends who he enjoyed hanging out with at the Elks Club, The Huntin’ Shack, Corner Coffee, and Bear Lake Wood Cutting Party.
Quite the collector, he was fond of classic cars, Harleys, pedal cars, and metal toy cars memorabilia. He attended trade school for printing and ran his own business in town and in Venice, FL for a time. After returning from Florida, Carl also worked in Industrial Sales, and later at the city garage.
Carl is survived by his four children, Dan (Jenna Warmuth) Uebel, Sarah (Jody) Willard, Brian (Kelly) Uebel, and Laura (Aaron Joel) Uebel; sister, Martha van Dyke; brother-in-law, Glen Clover; grandchildren, Oliver, Mason, Marin, and Hunter; and many nieces and nephews who affectionately called him Uncle Buck. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carolyn “Mootsy” Clover.
A celebration of life for Carl will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on November 9, 2024 at Dougherty Funeral Home. A private interment will take place in Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing at a later date. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
