Carl "Corky" Collyard

Carl passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Fairview Range Medical Center. Carl was born October 18, 1947 in Hibbing to Carlo and Siiri (Hepola) Collyard. Carl was a lifelong resident of Hibbing, a member of Saint Leo’s Catholic Church and an employee of US Steel. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors. Carl played guitar, liked music in general, and was an avid Buddy Holly fan. He is survived by his brothers, Louis (Geri) Collyard, Dewey Collyard and John Collyard, aunt, Florence Gates, several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Carlo and Siiri and numerous aunts and uncles. Per Carl’s request a private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
