Caroline E. Stoeke, 73, Grand Rapids, MN, formerly of Hibbing, MN, died Wed. May 15, 2013 in Grand Rapids. She was born April 11, 1940 in Grand Rapids to Edward and Helmi Landela. Caroline was a graduate of the Grand Rapids High School and had lived in Hibbing for many years before making her home in Grand Rapids. She had worked as a clerk for the Kremer Dept. Store and K-Mart in Grand Rapids.
She is survived by her children Steven E. (Regina) Finberg of Las Vega, NV, Timothy Finberg of Grand Rapids, MN, Laura (Tom) Carey of Warba, MN and Walter E(no period please) (Crystal) Stoeke III of Hermantown, MN, a sister Liala Haroldson of Minneapolis, MN, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter Stoeke Jr., brothers: Roger and Ronald Hill, sisters Dorothy Mottonen and Shirley Haberle and her longtime companion Leslie Lee.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013 in the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing. The Rev. Zach McNeil will officiate. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery
