Caryl Jeanne Snell Sarago
Caryl J. Snell Sarago, 78, Apple Valley, MN, formerly of Hibbing, died Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Augustana Health Care Center in Apple Valley.  She was born in Forest Lake, MN on August 20, 1935, to Ole and Emma (Kammer) Rome.  Caryl had worked as a fashion consultant at Seiferts Department Store and had been a member of First Lutheran Church in Hibbing. Caryl opened her home and heart to family and friends wherever she lived, many will remember eating at her table.
She is survived by a son, Robert Snell, of St. Paul, MN; three daughters:  Cheryl “Santina” (Dennis) Ham of Louisville, KY; Theresa (Bryan) Sumner of Farmington, MN; and Debra (LeRoy) Staydohar—Ruff of St. Paul, MN; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert P. Snell; by sisters Gladys Holtzbauer, Dorothy Moleskey, Delores Marino, and Donna Johnson; and brothers Oliver Rome, Roy Rome, and Elmer Rome.
Per Caryl’s wishes, a private family memorial service will be held.  Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Aaron Staydohar, Justin Snell, Caleb Ham, and Tyler Porter Sumner. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.
