Cathryn J. Ricker
Cathryn J. Ricker, 96, Nashwauk, died peacefully on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at her residence, Hillcrest Nashwauk. She was born to Herman and Agnes Terwey in Melrose, MN on November 10, 1916, and had lived in Ward Springs before moving to Nashwauk in 1937. Cathryn was a hard worker spending many hours working at Hultquist Bakery, Sella's Sweet Shop, Rick's Cafe and her own Coffee Shop. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post #8510 and enjoyed Bingo and going to the casino. Cathryn was an active member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Nashwauk. She belonged to the CCW and volunteered running the Church kitchen for many years.
She will be missed by her sons, Ken (Jeanne) Ricker, Pengilly and Sam (Judy) Ricker, Forbes, MN; daughter-in-law, Jean (Terry) Ricker McCollor, Nashwauk; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ricker; son, Daniel Ricker; grandson, Steven Ricker; her parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday Feb. 18, 2013, in St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, Nashwauk, with visitation in church for one hour prior to the funeral Mass.
