Charles R. “Bob” Bibeau
Charles R. “Bob” Bibeau, 84, Nashwauk, died Monday, July 17, 2017 at Grand Itasca in Grand Rapids.  He was born to Charles and Matilda (Wachsman) Bibeau in Grand Rapids on May 27, 1933.  He was a U. S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.   Bob married Barbara Mackey in Grand Rapids on July 6, 1955.  He was employed with Keewatin Taconite as a mechanic for43 years retiring 24 years ago.  Bob was a member of the United Mine Workers #2660 in Keewatin, Senior Organization for Active Retirees, and St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church.  He was an outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being outdoors.  Bob enjoyed music from the Blues to Lawrence Welk.  His main love was his family especially his grandchildren.
He will be missed by his wife, Barbara, children, Michelle (Vladimir) Pernar, Hutchinson, MN, Michael Bibeau, of Grand Rapids, and Melissa (Kevin Plemel) Colwell of Pengilly, 3 brothers, Howard (Renata) Bibeau, Menassass, VA, Jack Bibeau, Little Sweden, and Don Bibeau, Ball Club, 7 grandchildren; Luke Kovacic, Nicole Swam, Joshua and Leigha Huffman, Jenna Pernar, Jacob and Jason Bibeau, 5 great-grandchildren, Marcus, Gabe, Caleigh, Travis, and Jayden.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am. Friday, July 21, 2017 in St. Ceceilia’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Seth Gogolin officiating.  Visitation will be Friday beginning at 10:00 am.  Burial will be in the Balsam Cemetery.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.
