Cheryl L. Samson, 52, Hibbing, MN, died unexpectedly, Thur. Nov. 10, 2016 in Hibbing.

She was born July 5, 1964 in Hibbing to John and Marilyn Johnson.  Cheryl married Jeff Samson on June 29, 1991 in Hibbing where they made their home.  She worked at NHS in Chisholm, MN as a direct care specialist.  Her love of her family could be seen in the way she cared for and cherished her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Jeff, her children Kaitlyn (Nate) Vrchota of St. Cloud, MN and Tyler (Mercedeez) Samson of Hibbing, her brother Don (Kim) Johnson) of Chisholm, MN, sister Carol Mulner of Hibbing, step-brothers Tom (Maria) Vanek of Monticello, MN and Joe (Dawn) Vanek of Hinckley, MN, step-sister and Barb Alle of St. Paul, MN, her grandchildren Bentley, Emma and Jaxon Vrchota and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father John Johnson, her mother Marilyn Vanek and her stepfather Ernest Vanek

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016 in the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.  Visitation will be in the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time.
