Christine Ann Claveau

Christine A. Claveau, 62, of Hibbing, MN, died Friday, January 12, 2024.  She was born in Hibbing to Richard and Dorothy Claveau on December 4, 1961.

She recently retired from Fairview Range where she touched the lives of all her patients as a mental health practitioner.

Chris loved spending time at home with her dog (Max) and cat (Sam), going on long drives listening to her music and watching the Viking lose.  In her younger days she enjoyed staying active playing volleyball and bowling with the girls.

Chris's life revolved around her family, especially caring for her mom and dad.  She is survived by her mother Dorothy Claveau, daughters Katie and Kelly Gustavsson, brother Richard Claveau, sister Kathleen Josephs, her favorite granddaughter Kylie Gustavsson and her former husband Dale along with several cousins, nephews and nieces.

Chris was preceded in death by her father and brother-in-law Robert Josephs.

The family would like to thank all of the doctors, especially Dr. Jan Baldwin, and care teams who looked after Chris for the last seventeen years as she struggled with her health.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Hibbing.  Father Bill Skarich will officiate services and visitation will be held one hour prior to mass starting at 10:00 AM.  Interment will take place at a later date at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
