            Constance J. Bussey, 69, lifelong Hibbing resident died Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Guardian Angels Health & Rehabilitation Center in Hibbing with her brother Terry by her side.  She was born January 17, 1954, to Nolan and Elizabeth (DeMarco) Bussey in Hibbing.  Connie worked for Theisen-Tally as her employer.  She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish, the Senior Citizens Center, and T.O.P.S. in Hibbing.  Connie was an avid bingo player, she loved playing various card games including Smear and Cribbage, and coloring pictures for just about everyone.  Connie was sharp as a tac, often, her family would rely on her for anniversaries and birthdays that she would never forget.  She was also known for taking on dirty dish duties at events she was at, and called herself, “Beulah” while taking on the task. 

            She is survived by her siblings, Shirley (Kordish) Bartolus, Chisholm, MN, Chuck (Ruth) Bussey, and Terry (Kathy) Bussey, both of Hibbing, MN, her two sisters-in-law, Pierina Bussey, Hibbing, MN, and Margaret Bussey, New Port Richie, FL, along with 13 nieces, nephews, 27 great-nieces and nephews, and 12 great-great-nieces and nephews.

            Connie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, William “Buck” and Theodore Bussey, brothers-in-law, Walter (Baldy) Kordish and Elisio Bartolus, and her great-nephew, Justin Kordish

            Funeral services for Constance will be 11:00am, Monday, August 14, 2023, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. Daniel Weiske will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.  The visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral Mass at the church on Monday.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Connie’s family would like to send a sincere thank you to both Guardian Angels and Fairview Hospice for the tremendous care given to Connie in the recent past.  Memorials are preferred to Fairview Hospice or Blessed Sacrament Parish in Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
