Corrine E. Blight, 86, Hibbing died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the Cornerstone Villa in Buhl, MN.  She was born on February 1, 1928 to Conrad and Gilberta (Hartig) Strube in Frostburg, MD.  She was a resident of Hibbing since 1964.  A homemaker by trade, Corrine spent her time raising her family, and doing many years of volunteer work, most notably volunteering for the 7th Avenue apartment’s kitchen while residing there.  She loved gardening, collecting dolls, living at the lake during the summer, and her bird “Buddy”.
She is survived by her four children, Alexander “Butch” (Diane) Blight, Iron, MN, Danny (Linda) Blight, Chisholm, MN, Roberta Trepp, Swea City, IA, and Connie (Loren “Bud” Koski) Mackey, Bovey, MN, her sister-in-law, Pat Strube, Mogadore, OH., seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Gilberta (Hartig) Strube, her husband, Richard Blight in 1986, and her brother, Bernhart Strube.
Funeral services for Corrine will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. Terry Tilton will officiate.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Saturday.  A spring interment will take place at the Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
