Crystal Rose Choquette
Crystal Rose Choquette, 84, lifelong Hibbing resident died Sunday,
September 15, 2013 at Lighthouse of Columbia Heights.  She was born in
Barnsville, MN, to Austin and Addie Johnson on July 20, 1929.  Crystal was
active in Curling and Bocce Ball and many volunteer activities including the Mine View, Senior Center and Hibbing Curling Club. She was previously employed at Mr. Matts as a beautician. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Hibbing.
Crystal is survived by two sons, Terry (Ginny) Lahti, St. Anthony,
MN, and Dennis (Diana) Lahti, Spring Lake Park, MN; sisters, Edna (George)
Matz, Lena, Ill., and Edvina Pierce, Spokane, Wash; four granddaughters:
Andrea Lahti, Tina (Greg Vath)Lahti , Angela (Ricky Prescott) Lahti, and
Jessica Lahti; and by two great-grandchildren, Kai and Korey Prescott.  Besides her
parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Verton Choquette, and her
sister, Maxine Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm. Friday, September 20, 2013 in
Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terry Tilton officiating.
Visitation will be in church one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be
in Arlington National Cemetery.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral
Home, Hibbing.
