Daisy Sachs, 86, Bloomington, formerly of Hibbing, died Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Wealshire of Bloomington. She was born in Hibbing on June 11, 1927, to Nick and Mary (Serverovic) Novakovich. Daisy graduated from Hibbing High School and was united in marriage to Melvin Sachs on October 30, 1955. Together they owned and operated Sachs Clothing Store in Hibbing, where Daisy ran the ladies department.
She is survived by two sons: Tom (Michelle) Sachs of Minneapolis and Richard Sachs of New York, New York; three grandchildren: Nick Sachs, Jake Sachs, and Maggie Sachs; two sisters, Dorothy Dragich of South St. Paul and Nada Gareri of Hibbing; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mel, in 2000; by her parents; and by sisters Nancy Potami and Mary Reeves.
