Dana Renee Power, 51, Hibbing, died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.  She was born in St. Cloud, MN on Nov. 8, 1963, to Donald and Beverly (Welch) Kallsen.  Dana was united in marriage to Michael Power on Feb. 24, 2001, in Hibbing, and she had retired from Delta Airlines Reservation Center in Chisholm.  She loved family, especially her grandchildren, camping, gardening, flowers, traveling, and blues music.  She and Mike looked forward to their annual trip to Blues Fest in Duluth each year.  Dana always put others before herself.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Power, Hibbing; eight children: Shannon (Larry) Lund of Hibbing, Travis Haverkost of Hibbing, Donovan (Terese) Power of Cloquet, Carrie Haverkost of Hibbing, Garrett Haverkost of Hibbing, Sadie Tisdell of Mankato, Coby Haverkost of Cherry Point, NC, and Shane Haverkost of Duluth; two sisters:  Shannon (David) McCray and Noel (Merlyn) Koskela, both of Hibbing; a brother, Eric Kallsen of Hibbing; ten grandchildren:  Jessica Lund, Shayla Lund, Maggie—Mae Tisdell, Thomas Tisdell—Lucia,  Gemma Haverkost, Melissa—Mae Tisdell—Lucia, Aaron Lund, Thomas Power, Joseph Power, and Myles Haverkost; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and “Grandma” Darlene McCray of Hibbing.  Dana was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jeff Kallsen.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing, from 1 PM until the 2 PM funeral service.  To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.doughertyofhibbing.com .
