Danny L. Leino, 51, of Nashwauk, MN, died unexpectedly from heart complications on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the Hibbing Fairview Range Medical Center. He was born May 16, 1966 in Hibbing to John and Barbara Leino. He graduated from Hibbing High School in 1985. In July of 1999, Danny married his soulmate, Terri Lindquist. He worked for Northern Foundry of Hibbing for 22 years, before retiring to undergo cancer treatments. He was a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four-wheeling and camping. Danny also loved his family and friends with whom he shared his great sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Terri; his son, Daniel Leino of Nashwauk; a granddaughter, Lyndsae Leino; his mother, Barbara Bautch of Hibbing; siblings, Gloria (Kim) Schmelke of Hibbing, John Leino of Eveleth, Dennis (Bonnie) Leino of Hibbing, Sharon (Vic) Chacich of Apple Valley, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father John Leino and stepfather Stanley Bautch.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Dougherty Funeral Home.
