Today and long into the future we will mourn the loss of a wonderful woman. Darlene E. Cook, age 85, of Hibbing died November 30th at Heathers Manor in Crystal, MN. Darlene was born April 22, 1931 in Hot Springs, South Dakota to Noble and Ellen (Olson) Flanagan.
On November 5, 1949 she was married to Joe Cook at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rapid City, South Dakota. In 1955, they, along with their two daughters, moved to Hibbing, MN.
Darlene will join her daughter Sandy, four brothers, and other loving family in Heaven. She will be greatly missed by her husband Joe Cook; daughter Linda Weigel; grandchildren Jessica Setness, David Hendricks, Mark, Jeff, and Stephen Weigel; and all those whose lives have been touched by her love.
Funeral services for Darlene will be held 11:00am, Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Hibbing. The Rev. Kevin Olson will officiate. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will take place at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
