David W. Baker, 72, Bear River, passed away Tuesday, Jan 1, 2019. David was a lifelong resident of Bear River; he was an avid fisherman who didn’t catch many fish. David also enjoyed hunting and being outdoors in general. He had a knack for mechanics and enjoyed tinkering with cars. David served honorably in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his service with the military David worked for the government civil service in Greenland for two years. After his work with the government David enjoyed a 29 year career with Inland Mining as an electrician. David always enjoyed his neighbors, friends and family. He is survived by his wife Tran, sons Monty (Karolina) and David Joseph Baker, grandchildren, Hannah, Brooke, Ava, Aiden, siblings, Sandy, Mike, Linda, Pat, Ann, Lauren and Steve, many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ruby (Nystrom) Baker and his sister, Pam. Memorial service will be held 11 am Friday February 1st, 2019 at the Bear River Community Center. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
