David A. Brandenburger, 62, Britt, MN died Saturday, September 17, 2016 at home with family by his side.  He was born on June 14, 1954 to Alfred and Ruth (Middlestead) Brandenburger in Chisholm, MN.  David was employed as a coordinator with Minntac for 24 years, as well as several years prior in the 1970’s and 80’s.  He married Ruth Huffer on April 23, 1977 in Arizona.  David was an avid outdoorsman.  He was a member of MDHA.  He loved ice fishing, fishing in the summer and hunting as his pastimes.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Brandenburger, Britt, MN, three children, Aaron (Jessica) Brandenburger , Guangzhou, China, Danielle Brandenburger, St. Paul, MN, and Nathan Brandenburger, Atlanta, GA, four siblings, Helen (Larry) Gazelka, Salome, AZ, Edward Brandenburger, Hibbing, Sylvia (Mike) Snyder, Britt, MN, and Leonard Brandenburger, Side Lake, MN, two grandchildren, Isabelle and Cassandra Brandenburger, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law, Beverly Brandenburger, and his nephew, Jeffery Brandenburger.

Funeral services for David will be 4:30pm, Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Mt. Iron, MN.  The Rev. Kristin Foster will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Wednesday.  Graveside services for David will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
