David Wayne Ikola
David Wayne Ikola, 42, Hibbing, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016, in Hermantown. He was born in Hibbing on May 25, 1973, to Robert and Brenda (Denne) Ikola. David had worked construction most of his life. He enjoyed watching football, hunting, and fishing.
He is survived by two sons, Adam (Nicole Hess) Daniels of Chisholm and Nathan Ikola of Roseburg, OR; his mother, Brenda Olson, of Hibbing; his father, Robert ( Jann) Ikola, of Richfield, MN; five siblings: Patty (Kevin Jr.) Sleen of Hermantown, Tina (Gary) Glad of Hibbing, Kevin (Jessica Laude) Olson of Colorado Springs, CO, Rosemarie Olson of Hibbing, and Shawn (Stacey) Olson of Hibbing; two grandchildren, Keiton and Sophia; his step-father, Vern Olson of Kelly Lake; close friends Becki, Warren, and Andrew Koski, and Dakota Husmann; and by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be Friday Feb. 26, 2016, for one hour prior to the 12 noon memorial service at Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.
