Dean D. Darbo

Dean D. Darbo, 56, Hibbing, died Sat. August 11, 2018, in the Guardian Angels Health Care Center, Hibbing.  He was born Aug. 30, 1961 in Aurora, MN to Cleve and Darlene Darbo.  Dean worked as a carpenter in Alaska before returning to the range in 1984 to continue his work.  It was here on the range where met and married his soul mate, Eileen Angellar.  They were married on Feb. 11, 1989 and have enjoyed each other for the past 29 years.  In his free time Dean loved to fish, hunt, golf and camp.

He is survived by his wife Eileen, daughters: Joann Spolar and Roxanne Spolar both of Virginia, MN, grandchildren Steven Carlson Jr., Jesse Taylor and Cole Carlson all of Virginia, MN, brothers: Daniel Darbo of Hoyt Lakes, MN, Douglas (Patti) Darbo of Winona, MN, a sister Diane Sandvig of Hibbing and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Cleve and Darlene Darbo Birt and Joann Spolar’s special friend Steven Carlson.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.  Friends and family are invited to visit beginning at 10:15
