Delano Gangl
Delano Gangl, 83, lifelong Nashwauk resident, died Friday, September 12, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born to Steve and Regina Gangl in Nashwauk on January 14, 1931. Delano was an Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a mechanic at Butler Brothers and Hanna Mining Company’s, retiring after working for 35 years. Delano enjoyed and loved his family especially his grandbabies and great grandbabies.
He will be missed by his wife Sharon, children, Deborah (George) Morell, Hibbing, Roxane (Drew) Winegar, Nashwauk, Timothy (Marcia) Gangl, Pequot Lakes, MN, and Robert (Tammie) Gangl, Nashwauk, 11 grandchildren, Dylan Winegar, Drew Winegar, Justin Gangl, Shad Gangl, Lane Gangl, Tucker Gangl, Joshua Gangl, Angela Young, Stacy Morell, Nicole Morell, and Amanda Whittmore, 6 great grandchildren, Gabriella Yuhala, Mila and Lila Young, Charlotte Whittmore, and Eli and Austin Gangl. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Ralph and Richard Gangl, and Rose Clifton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am. Tuesday, September 16, 2014 in St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Nashwauk with visitation one hour before Mass.
