Delores Mae Barrett
Delores M. Barrett, 75, Hibbing, died Friday, March 30, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.  She was born at home in Hibbing on July 6, 1936, to Joseph and Josephine Zezel.  Delores had worked as a surgical nurse for many years at both Hibbing General Hospital and Central Mesabi Medical Center.  She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and the Minnesota Nurses Association.  In her free time she enjoyed baking, crafts, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren .
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, E. LeRoy Barrett of Hibbing; a son, Patrick (Dawn) Barrett of Rainbow City, AL; 3 daughters:  LeeAnne (Jeff) Schiltz of Duluth, MN, Kristine (Steve) Dirnberger of Chaska, MN and Kathleen (Jeff) Hofmann of Eagan, MN ;  9 grandchildren:  Alyssa (Richard) Stone, Casey Barrett, Emma and Gracie Schiltz, Rachel and Michael Ward, Matthew,  Joey, and Timmy Hofmann; a great-grandson, Rhett Stone; a brother , Ken (Sharon) Zezel of Hibbing; 3 sisters:  Vera (Albert) Kne of Chisholm, Eva Bolin of Edina, MN and Jeanette Walsh of Bloomington, MN;  and numerous nieces and nephews.  Delores was preceded in death by her parents and 5 siblings:  Robert Zezel, Diane Zezel, Nellie Zezel, Florence Juricich, and Julee Novak.
Visitation will be Tuesday April 3, 2012, from 9:30—11 AM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Hibbing.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Tuesday April 3, 2012, in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Hibbing.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northstar Hospice in Hibbing or Essentia St. Mary’s Hospice in Duluth. Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.
