Donna Jean (Novak) Charon
Donna Jean (Novak) Charon, 60, Hibbing, died Friday, June 14, 2013 at her home after a fierce battle with lung cancer. She was born in Hibbing to Vernon and Mildred, Novak on November 28, 1952. Dona worked at the Sewing Factory in Chisholm for many years, and later was a cook at Ciao most recently. She loved living at Side Lake, pontooning, going to Riverside generally having a good time at the lake. She enjoyed her time playing softball, volleyball, bowling, boccheball, cribbage, and just about anything that involved interacting with people.
Dona will be missed by her children, Danielle Charon, Hibbing and Louis Charon, Chisholm, her mother, Mildren Novak, Hibbing, 4 grandchildren, River Bussey, Gavin Pearson, Liam Bussey, and Laek Charon, her brother, Gary Novak, Huston, TX, former husband and good friend, Steven Charon, her favorite buddy, Sean Bussey, the father of River and Liam, and nieces, nephews, cousins and many many friends. She was preceded in death by her father Vernon Novak and her brother Vernon Novak Jr.
Services for Donna will be held at 3:00pm, Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. Steve Tomberlin will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until the 3:00pm service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
It was one of Donna’s final wishes that everyone attending her service (Celebration of Life) wear some item of clothing that is pink in color.
