Donna Mae Kangas
Donna M. Kangas, 57, of Nashwauk, passed away in her home Tuesday May 30, 2017. She was born to Ganeta (Newman) and Thomas W. Hagen Jr. on August 29, 1959 in Nashwauk. Donna loved the outdoors and nature; she enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping. Donna’s children always came first, but her cats and birds she also loved very much, the animal lover she was, she even had a bear she would hand feed.
Donna is survived by her daughter Bonnie (William Elj) Kangas of Nashwauk, and her son Jack Kangas of Nashwauk; her brother Tom Dean (Peggy) Hagen of Nashwauk, and numerous nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Leonard Kangas.
Per the family’s wishes a Celebration of Donna’s Life will be held at the O’Brien Lake Reservoir at a later date. Services are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
