Doris Elizabeth (Anderson) Grillo
Doris E. Grillo, 94, of Hibbing, died Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Parmly Life Pointes in Chisago City, MN.

She was born March 2, 1920, in Pool Location to Charles and Alice Anderson.  She was a lifelong resident of Hibbing and a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hibbing.

Doris was united in marriage to Dominic Grillo on May 7, 1938.  She was active in church circles and bible study, teaching Sunday school and Wednesday release time.  She enjoyed singing, dancing, flower gardening, crocheting and crafts of all kinds.  She actively followed hockey and baseball on TV and enjoyed following the activities of her children and many grandchildren. In her younger years, she had worked at Remington Yards and later at Pamida.  She was also a member of T.O.P.S.

She is survived by her three sons:  Charles (Clairene) Grillo of Brainerd, MN, Warren (Sandra) Grillo of Side Lake, MN and Jerry Grillo of Milwaukee, WI; a daughter, Alyce (Steven) Koppala of Chisago City, Mn; by a sister, Florence Glasner of Galena, IL; by 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic; by her parents; by sisters Margaret Pfifer and Elsie Bazzachini; and by a great-grandchild, Ava Monson.

Visitation will be Friday August 22, 2014, at Grace Lutheran Church, Hibbing from 10 AM until the 12 Noon funeral service.  A private interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at a later date.
