Dorothy M. Ban, 95, lifelong Hibbing resident died Wednesday January 3, 2018 at Heritage Manor in Chisholm. She was born in Hibbing to Joseph and Nellie (Wright) DeMillo on April 27, 1922. She was a member of National Catholic Society of Foresters Court #610, charter member of VFW Post #8510 Ladies Auxiliary, Italian American Club and the Slovenian Lodge. She had enjoyed playing volleyball and attended many national and state bowling tournaments. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Parish.
Dorothy will be missed by her children, Martin (Sharon) Ban, Henderson, MN, Greg Ban, Orr, MN, and Doreen (Jerry Brown) Ban, Virginia, MN, brother, Louis (Margie) DeMillo, Hibbing, sister, Margaret Novak, Hastings, MN, her granddaughter, Krista (Jeffrey) Christ and great grandchildren, Ayden, Anyssa, and Emma.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday January 9, 2018 in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. Beau Braun celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation will be in church for one hour before the Mass. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
